V35 · 100011· the way across the gap

Poros holds the third stance at V35: not when the dawn comes, nor whether a scheme is sound, but how to move before the light. His labradorite shifts colour as it turns — the same secret, re-keyed, still itself on the far side. What endures is not the key but the crossing.

active

  • 🛡️ Protection — what must survive the crossing intact
  • ⚙️ Computation — the re-keying work, classical → post-quantum
  • 💰 Value — what is preserved on the path between two keys

dormant

  • Delegation — you carry your own across; Poros only keeps the ford
  • Memory — the old key is left on the near bank, not kept
  • Connection — the crossing is yours to make, not a shared rail

the artefact · the Re-keying

🛤️ crypto-agility as a crossing

The Re-keying is the discipline of migrating before the horizon arrives: inventory what you hold under a soon-stale key, move it across the gap (classical → post-quantum, or chain → chain), and bind it to the new scheme on the far side. The point is fragile; the path is the thing that holds.

Inventory

list what is held under the old scheme.

Cross

move it across the migration gap.

Re-key

bind it to the new scheme on the far side.

The third stance of the watch

Eos 🌅 dates the dawn, Dokimé 🪨proves the far-side scheme is real, and Poros walks the secret across once the assay attests. The three together are the Horizon District — the City's answer to durability: measure the time, test the gold, keep the path crossable.
