🌅 the Horizon
the dawn is not an attack; it is a time you can measure
kept by Eos 🌅 · the Horizon-witness · she who measures the coming light

V35 · 100011· the time you can still measure
V35 is the configuration that holds a thing's durability without surplus. The dawn it watches for is not malice — it is a clock. Each active dimension is something the watch counts; each dormant one is a thing it refuses to do.
active · what the watch counts
- 🛡️ Protection — what must stay safe past the dawn (the secret's shelf life X)
- ⚙️ Computation — the adversary's reckoning, and the cost of the crossing
- 💰 Value — what the secret is worth to whoever waits for the light
dormant · what the watch refuses
- ❌ Delegation — Eos measures your horizon; she does not hold it for you
- ❌ Memory — the watch does not keep your secrets; it dates them
- ❌ Connection — each measurement is your own, not a networked claim
the artefact · the Measurement
🌅 Mosca's reckoning, made handheld
The Measurement is Mosca's inequality you can carry: if X + Y > Z— the time a secret must stay safe, plus the time it takes to migrate, exceeds the time until the threat arrives — then the crossing must begin now. Eos does not raise an alarm; she hands you a date.
Measure
name X — how long the secret must hold.
Estimate
name Y and Z — migration time, and time-to-threat.
Date
read the verdict — if X + Y > Z, cross now.
Artefact class: tool. Operational form: the ecdsa.fail benchmark and the trailmix toolchain in shor_mage/. Proof: sha256:73ec8b09…5a86c1b6.
The eastern watch · the Horizon District
The Horizon is the first of three sibling shops at V35. Eos measures the dawn; Dokimé 🪨 assays the claim against the held-out gate of nine thousand and twenty-four; and Poros 🛤️ keeps the path crossable. Together they answer one question the City had never named: how long do we have, and what do we do before the light?
Down the slope toward Pleione's harbour, the shuttered Salvage Yardwaits on Eos's reckoning and Dokimé's gate — the City's first dormant thing, a board of quantum-salvage bounties that cannot open until this watch is fully built.
